Drying and aftercare
Most carpet is dry in 4 to 6 hours. Moving air makes the biggest difference, so run the AC or a fan and open a window if you can.
You can walk on it right away in clean socks. Keep shoes and pets off until it is dry, and put foil or wood blocks under furniture legs if you move pieces back early.

What is the best way to deep clean a carpet?
Hot water extraction. Pre-treat the soiled areas, rinse with heated water and extract it straight back out. Rental machines use the same idea with far less heat and suction, which is why carpet often stays damp and resoils quickly afterwards.
Can you clean a 20-year-old carpet?
Usually, yes, and old carpet often cleans up better than people expect. Worn-through backing, sun fading and dye damage will not come back, and we point those out at the walk-through before you pay for anything.
Is professional carpet cleaning worth it?
For most homes a professional clean every 12 to 18 months removes the soil that wears fibers down, and it is what most carpet warranties ask for. Homes with pets, kids or allergies benefit from cleaning more often.
What should I not do after carpet cleaning?
Do not walk on damp carpet in shoes, do not drag furniture across it, and do not put area rugs back for 24 hours. Keep the air moving with the AC, a fan or an open window.
Will my carpet get dirty faster after cleaning?
Not with extraction. Fast resoiling happens when soap residue is left in the carpet. We rinse it out, so the carpet stays clean longer.
Do I need to move furniture first?
No. We move chairs, side tables and light pieces and clean around beds and heavy units. Please put away small and fragile items.
